Brian McDonald has more than a decade of experience as a trial attorney and litigator. He began his career in the Manhattan District Attorney’s office, working under the legendary Robert Morgenthau. He quickly moved from general prosecutions to conducting complex investigations into gang-related violence, narcotics trafficking, and identity theft. He then turned his attention to the investigation of more serious violent crimes, including homicides and the use of force by police.
Brian then moved to the New York State Attorney General’s office. He worked in the Public Integrity Bureau and assisted many other groups, including the Real Estate Fraud Unit, the Labor Bureau, the Taxpayer Protection Bureau, the Charities Bureau. His work at the Attorney General’s office involved public corruption, bid-rigging, mortgage fraud and tenant harassment, labor law crimes, tax crimes, and more. In addition, Brian was a member of the Special Investigations and Prosecutions Unit which has state-wide jurisdiction to investigate the deaths of civilians caused by police officers.
Brian attended Brown University, obtaining a degree in ethics and political philosophy, and subsequently received a law degree from New York University.
